Pricing
Tendthread is metered on active leads, because that is the only thing here that costs anything to run. A lead you have closed or archived is free to keep forever.

Every plan, side by side
Every plan gets the whole product — the strategy, the sending, the reply handling. What changes is how much of it you can run at once.
| Feature | Free | Starter | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active leads | 3 | 50 | 300 |
| Connected mailbox | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Seller context rows, per collection | 25 | 25 | 25 |

- Lead chat messages: Unlimited within reason. If usage looks automated rather than human we will get in touch about it, not act first.
If you reach the limit
Three things happen, and the first one is the important one.
Nothing is deleted
Your leads, threads and history stay exactly where they are. A limit is not a reason to destroy someone's data.
Nothing is sent
Leads over the limit stop progressing rather than continuing for free. No surprise sends, and no surprise invoice either.
You choose
The interface names which leads are held and why. Close the ones that are finished, and the rest resume.
In every plan
None of this is held back for a higher tier. The plan decides how many leads you can run, not what the product will do for them.
A strategy written per lead
How many touches, how far apart, which angle to open with — decided for that lead, then followed. Not a sequence you build once and forget.
Sent from your own mailbox
Gmail or Outlook, in the thread they already have. Never a shared relay, so replies come back to you and your domain keeps its own reputation.
Stops the moment it should
A reply, a status change, a disconnected mailbox — anything meaning the thread has moved on halts the next send before it goes.
Nothing invented
Every draft is checked against the facts it was given. One claiming an attachment, a link or a previous email that does not exist is rejected, not sent.
Replies read and classified
Interested, not now, wrong person. Opt-outs and bounces are caught before a model sees them — the cases that must never be got wrong are not left to judgement.
A record you can question
Every strategy version, send and decision is kept and attributable. Ask why it did something and get the actual reason, not a summary.
Questions people ask first
What counts as an active lead?
A lead you are still working — one Tendthread might send for, or read a reply on. Close it, mark it lost, or archive it and it stops counting immediately. Nothing is deleted, and reopening it counts it again.
What happens if I reach my plan's limit?
Leads over the limit stop progressing. Nothing is deleted, nothing is sent on them, and the interface tells you exactly which ones and why — you choose what to close.
We would rather stall than quietly charge you for going over. There is no overage on any plan.
Do I need a card to start?
No. There is nowhere on this site to enter one. The free plan is not a trial that expires into a bill — it is a plan.
Why meter on leads rather than seats or emails?
Because that is what actually costs us anything. Each active lead spends model calls — writing a strategy, drafting each follow-up, reading each reply. A dormant account costs nothing; an account with two hundred live leads costs two hundred times one with a single lead.
Seat pricing would charge five people with twenty leads each far more than one person with five hundred, which is backwards.
When will the prices be set?
Not yet decided, and we are not going to invent a number to fill this space. The inclusions above are settled — what they cost is not. When that changes it appears here first.
Can I connect more than one mailbox?
Not currently, on any plan. Leads and messages are tied to the mailbox they were sent from, and quietly moving them to another one would break threading and send follow-ups from an address the recipient has never seen. It is a deliberate constraint rather than a paywall.
What access does connecting a mailbox need?
More than we use, and we would narrow it if the provider allowed. The security page lists every permission requested, in the same words the consent screen uses, and explains why each one is needed.
Can I get my data out, or delete it?
Deleting your account removes your data and releases the mailbox grant on the way out. Ask for anything else — a copy, a correction, deletion of one lead — through the routes on the contact page; the privacy policy sets out the rights behind them.
What this costs today
Tendthread is free while it is in early access. The paid tiers on this page are what they will include; what they will cost has not been set yet, and nothing here asks you for a card.
When the paid plans open, the limits on this page are what they will carry. If a number has to change before then, it changes here first — not on an invoice.
